Fiona is shy but playful, and she loves attention and snuggles when she’s in the right mood. She is an indoor cat and has never been outside. Once you’ve earned her trust, she will stick close to your side, often following you around the house everywhere you go. She is quite vocal and has a wide variety of expressive purrs that sound almost human at times!
Fiona never scratches anything except for cardboard boxes, cat toys, and occasionally the side of the couch. However if you ever have to give her a bath, or administer medicine, you would be wise to wear thick clothing and gloves!
I adopted her from the shelter at around 2 months old, and in the year and a half since then she has only ever lived in my house with one other cat, myself, and my four housemates. She only really trusts me, but she ignores my housemates… she’s not mean whatsoever, she’s just shy and timid. She is trained to always use her litter box.
Fiona is used to having about 10-15 minutes of play time with me every day. She basically understands/responds to:
“treats!” – (come here for treats)
“scoot!” – (when she’s in the way of my computer monitor)
“good kitty!” – (reward)
“bad kitty!” – (don’t do that)
“where’s your squirrel?!” – (time to play)
Fiona is a sweetheart once she gets to know you.
